Tool Maker/Fitter

Perm Role, £33k-£40k pa DOE, Days, 37hrs per week, Mon-Thurs, Overtime

I am looking for an experienced Tool Maker/Fitter, with good knowledge of Conventional Engineering techniques, to work for an Engineering/Manufacturing company based in Wetherby. The business is commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate and this is a great opportunity to join a busy and growing company.

Required Experience:

andmiddot; Experienced tool room operative within the engineering sector

andmiddot; Excellent Manual Milling skills

andmiddot; TIG Welding knowledge would be beneficial

andmiddot; Grinding & Polishing experience

andmiddot; Capable of reading complex engineering drawings

andmiddot; Knowledge of Bridgeport XYZ Axis Milling Machine would be advantageous

andmiddot; Strong understanding of providing accuracy and quality

andmiddot; Ability to work to both independently and well within a team

andmiddot; Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards

Other desired skills required include:

andmiddot; Manual Turning and Boring experience would be beneficial

andmiddot; Experience in Machining a wide range of specialist materials including Heavy Flame cut Structural Steels, High tensile steel, Aluminium, Brass, Bronze and Acetal

andmiddot; Experience of working to ISO9001:2015

andmiddot; Ability to visually inspect work

andmiddot; C/B FLT License would be beneficial

The core working hours for this role are 37hrs per week, 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime is always available and is paid at Time + 1/3 on weekdays and Time + andfrac12; on Saturdays. The starting salary for the role is experience dependant, between £33k and £40k. This role is advertised as Permanent from day one.
