VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
Location: Solihull
Salary: Basic salary up to £42,000 DOE
OTE: Up to £50,000 + benefits
Hours: Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00, 40-hour week + 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
Average Hours: 41.5 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

THE ROLE
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing and diagnosing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
andmiddot;Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance
andmiddot;Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
andmiddot;Completing mechanical and electrical repairs
andmiddot;Working on suspension, steering, brakes and wheel bearings
andmiddot;Carrying out driveshaft and exhaust repairs
andmiddot;Air conditioning servicing
andmiddot;Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify faults
andmiddot;Carrying out additional repairs and maintenance where required
andmiddot;Fitting approved vehicle accessories
andmiddot;Completing vehicle health checks and reporting findings
andmiddot;Completing all required service and repair documentation
andmiddot;Working to manufacturer repair and quality standards
andmiddot;Working closely with the wider workshop team
andmiddot;Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced technician with:
andmiddot;NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
andmiddot;Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
andmiddot;Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
andmiddot;Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
andmiddot;Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs
andmiddot;Ability to work to a high standard and achieve a strong first-time fix rate
andmiddot;Full UK driving licence
andmiddot;Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
andmiddot;Ability to work independently and as part of a team
EV/Hybrid qualification would be advantageous but is not essential, with training available.
MOT Tester Licence is beneficial but not essential.
