Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
Supply Chain Manager
Up to £70,000
Essex
Assembly, machining, materials, suppliers - you'd hold the whole picture, not just a piece of it.
Our client designs and manufactures precision engineering components for motorsport and other high-performance sectors. They need a Supply Chain Manager to run planning from end to end: production scheduling, material availability, supplier delivery and stock, all working together rather than in silos.
You'll:
- Own the schedule across mechanical assembly and machining operations
- Convert MRP data into workable purchase and production plans
- Stay ahead of supplier delivery, lead times and shortages
- Weigh stock cover against working capital
- Sequence CNC jobs to keep machines running and changeovers tight
- Track delivery performance and inventory accuracy, and fix what's slipping
You'll need:
- Solid planning or supply chain background in engineering or manufacturing
- Strong MRP/ERP capability and confident Excel skills
- A track record managing supplier schedules and material flow
- Good analytical judgement and the communication skills to keep different teams pulling the same way
Mechanical assembly or CNC planning experience is a bonus, as is APICS/CPIM or CIPS.
A genuinely end-to-end role, not planning boxed into one corner of the business.
