About the Role

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Skilled Labourer/ Groundworker to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis in Suffolk.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in groundworks, general labouring, and assisting with the clean-up of oil spills and contaminated land. Applicants must hold a valid driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out groundworks and general site labouring duties.
• Assist with the clean-up and remediation of oil spills and contaminated land.
• Support the safe removal, handling and disposal of contaminated materials in accordance with site procedures and environmental regulations.
• Use appropriate equipment and follow established procedures when dealing with spills and contaminated areas.
• Assist with site preparation, clearance and reinstatement works.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised working areas.
• Handle and move materials, tools and equipment safely.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report hazards, spillages and environmental concerns to the relevant supervisor.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in groundworks or skilled labouring.
• Experience or knowledge of oil spill clean-up and contaminated land work would be advantageous.
• Valid driving licence.
• Clean DBS check.
• Good understanding of site health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
