Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - -5063k doe

I am searching for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a mission critical engineering team, delivering complex design solutions within a highly regulated industry.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the nuclear sector or a similarly regulated environment such as defence, aerospace, rail, or oil & gas. You will have a strong background in mechanical design, taking projects from concept through detailed design, with a thorough understanding of engineering standards, compliance, and safety-critical requirements.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience in mechanical design within a highly regulated industry (nuclear preferred).
• Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, relevant codes, standards, and quality processes.
• Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation and design calculations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), with chartered status or working towards it desirable.
