Production Operative - Days and Nights available

Location: Dronfield, Derbyshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Shift Pattern: Days: -12.97, Nights: -16.62 basic + Overtime

We're looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable Production Operative's to join a busy Melting Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Operative or someone with a manufacturing background looking to develop their skills within a well-established engineering business.

Responsibilities

Charge furnaces with scrap metal and raw materials for melting.
Monitor and maintain molten metal at the required temperatures.
Take metal samples and carry out temperature checks as required.
Remove impurities through slagging operations.
Pour molten metal accurately into treatment ladles.
Assist with crane operations and material handling when required.
Carry out routine maintenance and preparation of equipment for the next shift.
Maintain housekeeping standards and follow all health and safety procedures.

Experience

Previous experience as a Production Operative in manufacturing, foundry, engineering, recycling, or heavy industry.
Experience operating machinery within a production environment.
Overhead crane experience would be advantageous.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
