HVAC Engineer (Static Site)

Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Flexibility for occasional weekend on-call commitments may be required.

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled HVAC Engineer to join a static maintenance team at a prestigious corporate site in London.

The role will involve carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, as directed by the M&E Manager. Experience working within a corporate environment is desirable, along with knowledge of CAFM systems for managing workflows and maintenance activities.

As the Mechanical Lead on site, you will take responsibility for all HVAC-related works, supported by a mobile engineering team and specialist subcontractors where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all heating and cooling systems on site in accordance with current legislation and SFG20 guidelines.
  • Support the contract management team by escorting contractors and ensuring all works are completed safely and compliantly.
  • Carry out reactive fault investigations and first-fix repairs on mechanical equipment where possible.
  • Manage HVAC scheduling and temperature adjustments through the Building Management System (BMS) to meet occupancy requirements.
  • Fabric duties and general maintenance.
  • Complete all maintenance tasks to a high standard, ensuring accurate completion of all associated documentation.
  • Support other members of the maintenance team as required to maintain site operations and service delivery.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation or a related mechanical discipline.
  • F-Gas Category 1 certification.
  • Commercial gas qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience within a corporate or commercial building environment is desirable.
  • Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance or general building services role would be beneficial.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional at all times.
  • Strong customer service skills with a clear understanding of delivering high standards of client service.
  • Experience using CAFM systems would be advantageous.

Desirable Skills

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC plant and associated controls.
  • Familiarity with compliance-led maintenance environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
