Housing Support Worker
Job Description
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Housing Support Worker to join a busy Outreach Service in Liverpool on an ongoing temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Role:
- Provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable individuals and families in the community.
- Support people experiencing homelessness to access appropriate accommodation, services and wider support.
- Build positive and professional relationships with service users, including those who may be hard to engage.
- Support individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, substance misuse, trauma, PTSD and other complex needs.
- Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
- Carry out regular welfare checks and respond appropriately to changing needs or concerns.
- Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, health services, mental health teams and other agencies.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in Housing, Homelessness, Outeach, Substance Misuse etc
- Full UK Drivers Licence-
- Enhanced DBS
