We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance operation in Goole.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician looking for a permanent night-shift position, with strong earning potential, overtime opportunities and ongoing technical development.

Working Hours
The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern:
4 nights on: 6:00pm-6:00am
4 days off

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repair of HGVs and trailers, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard.

Duties will include:
andmiddot;Servicing, inspection, maintenance and repair of HGVs and trailers
andmiddot;Mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic fault finding
andmiddot;Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults
andmiddot;Electrical repairs and component replacement
andmiddot;Welding and metalwork when required
andmiddot;Preparing vehicles for MOT/DVSA inspections
andmiddot;Accurately completing job cards and maintenance records
andmiddot;Supporting apprentices and other members of the workshop team
andmiddot;Carrying out repairs and inspections on workshop equipment when required

About You
The successful HGV Technician will have:
andmiddot;NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, or proven HGV Technician experience
andmiddot;Previous HGV or commercial vehicle maintenance experience
andmiddot;Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
andmiddot;Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
andmiddot;Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
andmiddot;Full UK Driving Licence
andmiddot;Class 1 licence desirable but not essential
andmiddot;Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
