HGV TECHNICIAN
Location: Reading
Salary: £47,000 to £49,000 DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday-Friday plus alternating Saturday mornings
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Role
andmiddot;Carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs on HGVs
andmiddot;Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
andmiddot;Preparing vehicles for annual MOT testing
andmiddot;Identifying vehicle defects and carrying out appropriate repairs
andmiddot;Completing warranty work when required
andmiddot;Maintaining accurate service records, job cards and workshop documentation
andmiddot;Providing roadside assistance when required and safe to do so
andmiddot;Working efficiently to agreed deadlines and maintaining vehicle availability
andmiddot;Following all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices
andmiddot;Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment

What We're Looking For
andmiddot;City & Guilds 3, NVQ Level 3 HGV Maintenance, or equivalent
andmiddot;Candidates with significant relevant HGV maintenance experience will also be considered
andmiddot;Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
andmiddot;Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
andmiddot;Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
andmiddot;Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
andmiddot;Good communication and teamwork skills
andmiddot;HGV Class 2 licence or above would be advantageous
