Graduate Civil Engineer
We are a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Wigan, working across a diverse range of infrastructure, development, and regeneration projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our friendly and collaborative team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate looking to develop their technical skills, gain hands-on project experience, and work towards professional chartership within a supportive consultancy environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and project managers, supporting the delivery of civil engineering designs from concept through to construction. You will be involved in a wide variety of projects, gaining exposure to both technical and client-facing aspects of consultancy work.
Key responsibilities will include:
andmiddot;Assisting with the design of highways, drainage, and infrastructure schemes
andmiddot;Producing calculations, drawings, and technical reports
andmiddot;Supporting site investigations and attending site visits when required
andmiddot;Liaising with internal teams, clients, contractors, and local authorities
andmiddot;Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
andmiddot;Supporting senior engineers with project delivery and coordination
About You

You will ideally have:
andmiddot;A degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
andmiddot;A genuine interest in infrastructure and development projects
andmiddot;Strong communication and teamwork skills
andmiddot;A proactive and positive attitude
andmiddot;Basic knowledge of design standards (e.g. DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, or similar)
andmiddot;Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or civil design software (desirable but not essential)
