We are currently seeking an experienced-Overhead Gantry Crane Operator-for a contract role on a major converter station project based in Swaffham, Norfolk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of overhead gantry cranes, supporting site lifting and material-handling activities in line with project procedures and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate overhead gantry cranes safely and efficiently.
• Carry out lifting and material-handling activities as directed.
• Complete pre-use checks and report any defects or issues.
• Work closely with the site lifting team and other trades.
• Follow all site safety procedures, lifting plans and instructions.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating overhead gantry cranes.
• Valid crane operator certification required.
• Relevant site experience, ideally within construction, energy or industrial projects.
• Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety requirements.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team.
• Working pattern Monday - Saturday 12 hour days.
• Own transport essential.
