Location: Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE)

About the Company
We are working with a leading specialist contractor operating across the faandccedil;ade remediation, cladding replacement, fire safety, and building envelope sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured projects across the UK, they deliver both remediation and new-build faandccedil;ade packages on residential, commercial, education, and mixed-use developments.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Faandccedil;ade Designer to join their Manchester team.
The Role
As a Faandccedil;ade Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed design solutions for a variety of faandccedil;ade and building envelope systems. You will work closely with Design Managers, Contracts Managers, Architects, Structural Engineers, and Project Teams to ensure designs are compliant, buildable, and delivered in line with project requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in faandccedil;ade design, cladding remediation, curtain walling, rainscreen systems, and external envelope packages.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed design, fabrication, and installation drawings.
Develop faandccedil;ade solutions for remediation and new-build projects.
Design and coordinate systems including:
Rainscreen cladding
Curtain walling
Glazing systems
Aluminium faandccedil;ade systems
SFS framing systems
External wall insulation and fire remediation solutions
Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, structural engineers, and specialist suppliers.
Attend design meetings and site visits as required.
Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and technical requirements.
Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, fire safety requirements, and industry standards.
Support value engineering exercises and buildability reviews.
Assist with technical submissions, RFIs, and design documentation.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Faandccedil;ade Designer, Design Technician, Faandccedil;ade Draughtsperson, Building Envelope Designer, or similar.
Experience within faandccedil;ade remediation, recladding, curtain walling, cladding, or building envelope projects.
Strong knowledge of faandccedil;ade systems and construction detailing.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Revit experience would be advantageous.
Good understanding of current Building Regulations and faandccedil;ade fire safety requirements.
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
