An established local authority in Hampshire is looking to appoint an Estates Surveyor to join its property team on a full-time, rolling contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a property professional to take responsibility for a varied and interesting operational portfolio covering leisure, education, culture and highways assets.
The Role
As Estates Surveyor, you will manage a diverse property portfolio and provide professional estates advice across the authority. Responsibilities will include:
andmiddot;Day-to-day management of the leisure, education, culture and highways property portfolio
andmiddot;Landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, rent reviews and negotiations
andmiddot;Property management and general estate management activity
andmiddot;Supporting acquisitions, disposals and other property transactions where required
andmiddot;Undertaking negotiations with tenants, landlords and other stakeholders
andmiddot;Providing professional property advice to internal service areas
andmiddot;Managing competing priorities across a varied public-sector estate
About You
The successful candidate will have:
andmiddot;Strong estates surveying and property management experience
andmiddot;Good knowledge of landlord and tenant matters
andmiddot;Experience managing a varied commercial or operational property portfolio
andmiddot;Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
andmiddot;The ability to manage a busy workload with minimal supervision
andmiddot;Previous local authority or wider public-sector experience would be advantageous
The Offer
The role is offered on a full-time, rolling contract at £450 per day, with flexible working arrangements available.
